Update the firmware only when the Download Center recommends an update. If your player is working normally, we do not recommend updating the firmware.
Download the compatible firmware
Open the Download Center, select H20 Ultra, open Firmware, enter your current firmware version, and select Check. Download the file only when the checker offers a compatible update.
Rename the firmware file
After downloading the file, turn on file name extensions. Then rename the file and enter only update. The final filename should display as update.upt.
Connect H20 Ultra to your computer
On H20 Ultra, open System → USB Mode → Data. Then connect the player to your computer with its USB cable and wait until it appears as a storage device.
Copy the file to H20 Ultra
Copy update.upt to the root directory of the player storage, not inside Music, Download, or another folder. Wait until copying is complete, then safely eject H20 Ultra and disconnect the cable.
Start the firmware update
Open System → Firmware Update and start the update. Keep the player powered on and do not operate it until the update and restart are complete.
Check the firmware version
After H20 Ultra restarts, open System → About → Software Version and confirm the installed firmware version. If the firmware version has not changed, repeat the complete update process.
