Follow these five steps after the H2 Download Center identifies the correct firmware for your player.

Before you begin

Use only the firmware recommended for your current version. If your H2 is working normally and no update is recommended, you do not need to update it.

1

Download the compatible firmware

Enter your current firmware version in the H2 Download Center and download the recommended update.

2

Rename the firmware file

After downloading the file, turn on file name extensions. Then rename the file and enter only update. The final filename should display as update.upt.

3

Connect H2 to your computer

Keep the SD card inside the H2. Open System Settings, choose USB Mode, select USB—not DAC—and connect the H2 to your computer with the original USB cable.
